Yes. t used to have dreams that were so vivid that I would think about the stressful and bizarre ones for days afterwards. The very ordinary ones were more troublesome because I could not tell if something had really happened or I had dreamt it.
There are medications that can help reduce the number and intensity of dreams. The one that was prescribed to me was venlafaxine, which is normally used as an antidepressant, but has other uses, including suppressing dreams.
If you are even thinking of killing yourself as a solution you need to see a doctor immediately. That is a greater problem than the dreams themselves.
There is help for both the problem of the dreams themselves and the despair they are causing.

Yes there are plenty of ways.
Try to understand what it is that is causing those dreams. I don't know what the dreams are about -but maybe you have worries or concerns in your waking life, that is making you dream a lot.
Often dreams are a subconcious way of trying to resolve things that are bothering you. Its a bit like when you have loads on your mind, your dreams act like an overflow.
Do you know what it is that could be causing the dreams? What worries or concerns or troubles are on your mind at the moment?
I think your fist step should be to seek medical advice or speak to a counsellor. The fact that you've mentioned dying as an option means that you need to seek some help, and there are loads of people out there who can provide it. Google it :-)

Look at it as a spiritual thing. I love dreaming and remembering them because you are just becoming aware of your sub-conscious. Dreaming also means you are in a deep sleep which is necessary for daily life. Tell yourself what you don't want to dream about before bed or say to yourself that you do not want to remember anything in the morning and see if it works. You have more control over your thoughts than you think.

People have to dream. Try different foods before you go to bed. Hard to beleive but that can change the type of dream you have...and maybe make it more pleasurable to dream. Experiment a little with this.

Dreaming is as natural as breathing. You can't stop it, but you can control what kind of dreams you have by concentrating last thing at night as you fall asleep on a subject of your choice. Make it pleasant and you won't mind dreaming...

dreams are usually your minds way of sorting out problems you can't deal with when you're awake. You should see your doctor who can either give you medication or refer you to a councellor who can decide a course of action. You may well be suffering from depression. If you are then alcohol will make it worse.

Try a few vallies to knock you out cold. I can't understand why you wouldn't want to dream though. I had a pretty racy one last night about Jose Mourinho. I've no idea why but I will definitely be tuning in on Saturday for a daytime revisit......

Yes, see a doctor and don't wait. There are medications that can be taken short term, and will help to break the dream pattern. You aren't alone, this is common, and the doctor will help.
