I had the same problem and my vet said to give her a small bit of butter 3 times a week. I did this because nothing else was working. She has not gotten sick or had another attack since. Also you can try brushing him or her everyday to knock down the hair....good luck i know you need it

We adopted a cat from Pet Smart and took her to our Vet for an initial exam. While we were there, the Vet said giving the cat a little butter or Vaseline on a regular basis, would help eliminate fur balls. The idea is that the butter or Vaseline kind of lubes her intestines and she passes the fur, rather than throw it up as a fur ball. It works. We've had the cat for 5 years now, and she's NEVER hocked up a fur ball and she loves butter and Vaseline. We give her a little bit every day ... just a dab or two on our finger tips.

Pet stores carry this product that looks like toothpaste. I thinks it's called petromalt. You just squeeze the tube and let the kitty have about an inch or so every day. Most cats love it. I did have one cat that didn't like it so I mixed it in with some Fancy Feast. They also sell cat food that is supposed to help with fur balls. I think Iams and Science Diet make a furball formula. Also, keep your kitty groomed well so it's less likely to develop fur balls. Since you said that she keeps throwing up, I would take her to the vet just to make sure that it is furballs and not something else. Also, furballs can become very serious. Make sure your kitty is going #2 regularly and isn't blocked up. Good luck.

Go to your vet or the local pet store like Petco or PetSmart.
Tell them you need something to eliminate furballs in your cat.

I can't recall the name of the stuff, but it comes in a tube like toothpaste and you can either feed it to your cat right from the tube, or you put about 1/4 inch in their paw (rub it on a little) and then they lick it off.

It helps them to pass the hairball through their digestive track instead of throwing them up.

It works absolutely great, and is inexpensive.

Butter has a lot of FAT and doesn't really help that much, and never give an animal Vaseline to ingest.

There are lots of good products on the market today so take advantage of the things that are safe for you pet.

Hope this helps.

A product called Petromalt will do it or you can buy a high fiber cat food with a hairball control formula. Sometimes if you feed a cat hard food they will eat it too fast and throw it up, mine does, so I sometimes switch to canned food which is easier to digest.

Your cat retains coughing them up aswhen cats lick themselfs sparkling they swallow some fur and interior the end they cough it up. to assist end it you need to brush your cat well-known so as that there'll be plenty a lot less fur for it to swallow. I starte doing that a 12 months in the past and because that then its in common words coughed up 4 furballs, and its a lengthy haired cat.

Brush your cat regularily to get rid of excess hair so that she does not swallot it when she washes herself. Use a pet glove with a knobbly texture on the palm, if your cat is not used to grooming. It will feel like petting and cats love it.

If it's food she's throwing up then she's probably sick.
But if it white phlegmy stuff then it's a furball.
Let her eat grass, I notice my cats eat grass when they've got upset stomachs or furballs.

I've heard that if you put a little vaseline on the end of their nose, they'll lick it and it'll be easier for them to get rid of the hairball
