Neither. It was done by a weather pattern.

The mother nature create tsunami. If anyone suffer from it, that is their karma.
Your meaning of God or Scientist is only a convenince idea that most people say or use.
God means wise and compassion. So if wise and compassion make God, than such a disaster can never be done by God.
As for Scientist, they are also people who live with us in this samsara. They are or maybe reseaching on your question too!

First of all, scientists have no control over the weather (as of yet) so that rules out the second choice.

Second, tsunamis are not "done" by anyone. They are occurences of weather. Of course, nothing is possible without God, as He is the author, but He also does not inflict punishment in the form of storms upon His people. Any punishments he wishes to give human kind will happen at the Final Judgement.

Hope that answers your question!

God did it? He could but its a bit like blowing down your own house of cards really isnt it?

Eccles : 'Time and unforseen occurance befall all men'

Problem with questions like this is that we are bound to ask : How many disasters has God stopped? We will never know.

Everything happens because of God. Out of something so horrible, something good comes from it. Look at how all the countries, regardless of their religion, helped them. That is something beautiful. There will be affects to this disaster for many many years to come. Who knows, a person who survived, might be so happy with a second chance that he/she will come up with a cure for cancer or AIDS.

It is not up to us to judge God, but for us to praise HIM and HIS wisdom. He knows what we do not know and that is the basis of faith.

Very good question you asked.

I believe God is sovereign over everything - so I believe He gives life and takes it away. It is His choice - He made us. He can do as He wills. But God is loving and kind - not wishing that any would perish but that all would come to repentence (turning away from sin and self). God is so good.

none.

"I returned to see under the sun that the swift do not have the race, nor the mighty ones the battle, nor do the wise also have the food, nor do the understanding ones also have the riches, nor do even those having knowledge have the favor; because TIME AND UNFORESEEN OCCURRENCE BEFALL THEM ALL." God lets things happen. Did he wave his hand and make it happen? I don't know but all things are done for his glory. So if one person got saved then it was worth it.
