I have only been coming here a month and I thought I would find information about religion but all I have found is backstabbing and running other peoples faith down. What has happened to society? people believe in their own faith and other people abuse them for what they believe in. That is wrong
Whether you are an Atheist or Christian I think that is your choice. No one has the right to judge a person because of what they believe in.
I am a catholic and a Christian I am proud of my faith thats who I am! I believe in God, Jesus and I follow the Bible,

i agree with you. i seen some rational answers on this site, but for the most part, it is just like you said (backstabbing and overbareing).

I agree I thought this would be a great place to share info about the bible. I don't care what religion you are you should be able to come to this site and find the answers you need. But it seems some of the people just want to belittle anyone who is a Christian. If you do not believe in God that is your right but for the ones who do let us ask our questions and try to get the answers we need.

I am 69 and all my life I see more strife, anger and pure hate from religious people and religions in general than any other source. I try to follow the precepts of the Bible in my own life but this is mainly because they make a lot of logic as a way to create and interact with society. I have cared for others all my life and now it is part of my being. I don't know whether any concept of God is accurate or made up of whole cloth. I like to think that if there is and I meet him some day; I can shake his hand and say I did my best.

I do tend to agree that there is too much character assassination and running down of other faiths but unfortunately that tends to happen when someone mentions religion. But I don't agree that this is all that is in here. I think there are a few honest question and answers to be found but you have to deal with all the uselessness to find it.

Yes, I agree. There are plenty of us on here that participate without being impolite to others. In fact, I think that the majority are polite. It is only a loud minority that is vocal and rude. I've learned a lot about different faiths and practices. I skip over the questions that are meant to insult. If enough people did that, I think the rude posts would lessen considerably.

Yep you are right on the money there. It is funny because everyone seems so judgmental and condemning, but as soon as I ask a question that makes people confront this behavior I either get only the decent people answers or the outrageous people change to sound better than they had before.
I just try to ignore any questions or answers that are purposely trying to upset or hurt me.

um i dont understamd exactly wat ur askin , but yes i do agree dat everyone shud have the right 2 their religion, also backstabin & belittleing is a no-no. & of course judging a person cuz of their faith just shows wat kind of a jerk the person judging is . & besides in the end all religions teach the same things.
im a christian 2 , but i live in a hindu dominated country , with a large number of sikhs & muslims & a significant number of other religions 2 , i have frnds from all religions & i have never once felt dat they r all dat different from me.
r religions r different but the society in which we r being brought is the same , so r thinking is hardly all dat different

i agree with you regarding to your observation in this question and answer.....but may i say that hold on to your Faith... and do not be disturb on how they answer here specially to the negative portion.
instead be the instrument to share the positive part and bring God to people who is at lost.... a lot of blasphemies here.....pray for their soul.
