You shouldn't wear them for two reasons:
1. It hurts, like you already said.
2. The crack could get bigger and ultimately the lens can break into two pieces. The danger is that one peice of the broken lens gets to a part of your eye where you can't reach it, which will cause more pain.
I know it's frustrating, because it has happened to me too, but you have to get new lenses and always try to handle them with max care. Try not to touch the lens except with your finger tip.
If you are new to contact lenses I would advise you to buy those for 30-40 days for the start.

Definitely do NOT continue wearing that lens, as it certainly can cause problems! If this is a lens that is meant to be worn for a year (called a conventional lens), you might want to call the place where you got it and see if they will assist you in replacing it.
If that doesn't work, I have dealt with one place for many years, that is competitively priced and offers very knowledgeable assistance; their phone number is (800) 779-2654. Let them know your situation, and they may be able to help or advise you. I hope this is helpful!

Yes is can hurt your eyes. Contacts don't cost that much and it is better to get a new lens than have a cracked lens scratch your eye or become embedded in your eye lid.

Yes it will hurt like hell and you could scratch your cornea. You either have very dry eyes or you have been wearing the same pair too long.

You have to wear glasses or get new contacts! Believe me, even the smallest tear can hurt like hell. Even if it doesn't, it can do damage.
