First thing, I don't want answers from people who don't like cats, it is not helpful to me in any way.

So, we have a kitten whos about 8 weeks old, and he will not stop crying and meowing for attention at all hours of the night. My b/f works a very early shift and it is getting extremely hard to repeat this night after night. We give him all the attention in the world during the day since we are home all day between the 2 of us and his food water and potty are all accessable to him. I just need a good way to try and train him not to do this it's getting frustrating...since telling him no and putting him in his bed does not work(this is our routine about 15 times a night) Thank you in Advance.

He's just meowing but i'm taking him to the vet this weekend anyways. Also, it's very hard to let him just go on meowing, we live in an apartment and i'm afraid our neightbors might complain about him(if we had to get rid of him i'd cry for days :( )...plus my b/f cant leave him alone he even sleeps out on the couch w/ him i don't want him to get in the habit of sleeping in our bed (we've had bad experience in the past with this)....we spoil him too much don;t we?

when we sleep in the living room with him he meows and pounces on your head or attacks your arms (playing) which is another factor in the not letting him sleep in our bed thing.

just ignore him when he meows, because by giving him constant attention you are spoiling him. so when he meows dont pay any attention. but when he isnt meowing give him some attention not alot i had the same problem with one of my cats its easy really it might be hard cuz you love him but you get over it and learn that its for the best

Is he just meowing or is he really crying? We have two cats and my older cat was doing the same thing. We took him to the vet and his bladder was blocked(which is common in male cats)...we ended up having to admit him to the animal hospital and he was there for over a week. All his crying and meowing stopped. He was in pain and that was his only way to tell us. If this condition is not caught, the cat will die. Just a shot in the dark, but you may want to take him to vet to have him checked out! By the way, I love animals. We have 2 cats, 2 Siberian Huskies, and a 100 gallon fish tank with lots of fish and sharks. LOL...We have a regular zoo in our house...and oh yeah, a husband and a son!

The kitten is meowing because of the fact he does not understand his atmosphere and mom. he's following you around and meowing so which you will provide him some love and affection--he desires to be picked up and cuddled. A kitten/cat will stick to basically the guy(s) whose fragrance they are in a position to correctly known. He has grow to be related to you. even make specific that your mom cat will undertake him as considered one of her very own, if not she would be in a position to not enable it to feed with the different kittens. If that's occurring, you will could feed the recent kitten. provide the kitty a recognition and commenced fidgeting with him to make him experience he's a element of the relatives. do not provide the kitten cow's milk, this might provide him diarrhea

Get him a friend. He just left his litter mates I assume. It is hard to adjust to for him. If letting him sleep with you quiets him I would think that is the problem. When he is older he will just wait until you sleep and crawl in anyway so why not now? I have 4 cats 2 dogs and a rat and we have all napped together ( as well as a husband). They don't hog the covers : > )

i have 3 cats ( 1 .5 yrs old ) and the baby is 7 months. i put the cat in bed with us, he started to hate it. yours is a baby, maybe put his bed in your room at night and see. I use to sleep in a old shirt when the cats where kittens and take off the shirt and put it in their bed so they have the "scent" maybe he needs scent and knows he's not alone. They are feiste at that age and want attention, maybe still "motherbound". I give them mini stuffed animals to lay on, play on, and toys to keep them occupied. If he's too young for toys, start with your scent, then maybe a stuffed animal to little toys such as balls, or pull a string in front of him and teach him. maybe playing during the day will make him sleep at night. I like to leave the radio on when i leave or sometimes the t.v. and my cat stays out of trouble and gives him the sense of security hearing voices. hope i helped, DON'T GET RID OF HIM, he's a baby:) i love kitties. goodluck.

Is he hungry? Most kittens will cry if their tummies aren't full. He needs to be eating until his tummy is hard and then he'll sleep between feedings. Also, make sure his sleeping area is warm. Maybe put a ticking clock into the bed with him, to mimick his mother's heartbeat.

Your kitten just misses it's cat mother. You can try putting a wind up clock under some warm and soft blankets so the kitten can hear the sound. It mimics it's mother's heartbeat.

I would suggest putting him in a crate like you would put a dog in to train then to not go to the bathroom in the house..and once he learns not to meow all the time then stop putting him or her in the crate...hope this helps and good luck iwth your kitten...

It might just want attention.... then again something could be wrong with it - it could be in some sort of pain - so you might want to consult a vet.
