I work in the finance department . I do accounts payable. The girl that does the billing lost my compay about a half million dollars in the last 3 years and it has just been discovered. She lost it by simply not following up on her billing. Now instead of losing her job, my boss is making changes in the dept.. She is putting an unexperienced biller in her place, I am moving to a job I applied for before and told I wasn't qualified for and the girl who messed up in the first place is taking my job. AND I have to train her. We are not happy and she acts like she is being rewarded. She shows no remorse and has not even thank us for saving her job. Now for the real question. There is another girl in the Department who is not really involved in this but is the main accounts Payable person and hates this girl she is going to have to start working with. How can I keep the first girl from blowing up when the second girl sets her up to do that? If she loses it 1 time she is gone. sorry so long

Stay out of it!
You can not always be your brothers keeper (or sisters keeper in this case).
Why do you have to stress out about this other persons job?

As far as the chick who messed up and is not smart enough to realize she has been down graded, this person has had know one tell her yet....

You are no longer in junior high school. Companies do not pay you to love your colleagues, be their best friends or second guess their decisions; they pay you to do your job.

My advice is keep your head down, do your job and keep out of the dramatics. Don't get into the gossip school - management DOES notice and it may affect your own promotion prospects.

Keep out of it. Do your job and let them do theirs, it's their business if they butt heads. Be glad you got the job you applied for. Chances are it won't work with the former billing girl anyways.

I'd stay WAY out of this one. Let them work out their own problems.
