i like this girl at my work, and recently i told her i liked her and asked her out on a date. she said she liked me too, but didnt want to upset her friend Anna because she said that she had "claimed" me first. what should i do...i dont even know Anna anyways.

Sorry but nothing you can do. Girls are set in their ways in that if their friend likes a guy and the friend admits to liking a guy none of the other friends can go anywhere near this guy. Its a girl thing.
The trick is to make Anna not want to be with you, but in a way that doesnt make her hate you or you still lose.
Find out who Anna is, maybe set her up with someone, leaving the way clear for you and this girl.

tell her that you aren't at all interested in anna, and that she would be missing out for nothing cos nothing is ever going to happen between you and Anna - then if she IS keen she should say yes to a date - if she isn't interested and was just trying not to hurt your feelings she will say no to the date. if that is the case - ask Anna on a date!!!!

Make her see that it's her you want NOT Anna. If her relationship with Anna means that much to her then I guess there's nothing much you can do

i would just wait a while tell the other girl dose not like you if that ever happens then go for it again or try back in a week lol but if shes one of me she has her mind set if it is ment to be it will work out

you need to talk to the girl that you like. its that simple! tell her your feelings. anna ovbiously likes you but dont let her get in the way i you like the othe girl.

has happend to me aswell, and is happening right now
i would say drop it man, your just going to create tension but it also depends on where you work. Like myself, my office is like accross those to chick's offices so i would really be setting myself up. I already hooked up with another chick at work, and it was a mistake. Hopefully, she wont say anything. It risky but!

i think you should show obvious atention to that girl wich you like to and if her friend is smart she will understand, and won't disturbe to both of you. and maybe she will help to both of you, if she is a real friend!
