Ok why do guys try to act tough and uncaring when their around their friends? You see when my boyfriend and me broke up he always treated my like crap when his dumb friends were around but when it was just me and him, he would tell me how much he loves me and how much he wants me back!! It bugged the hell outta me and now I want to know why he treated me like that!! Why do guys do things like that when their friends are around?

Because he's either generally insecure or he's embarrassed to be seen with you.
It could also be because it's funny for his mates.
And it could also be because you let him get away with it.

When he's with you, maybe he can let down his guard and show his emotions more readily. But when he's with his friends it's a different social circle (he might be intimidated that being "touchy-feely" in front of the guys will make him seem weak or whipped), so he overcompensates and puts on a show. Treating you like crap? Regardless of his insecurities that's just wrong. If he truly loved you he wouldn't treat you that way.

Guys are morons, when we are young we always want to look macho as we mature we get smarter and realize its the ladys that will make us the happiest and to heck with what our guy friends think after all there not the ones we go home with

the same reason us dudes don't kiss are dads in front of our girls because we don't want to look like ******* but you need to find a guy that can show the way he really feels about you no matter who's around and not putting you down to make him feel better or look kool because you ladies are queens and you should be treated like one.good luck

He is trying to prove to his friends that he is the dominate one, (the boss) in your relationship. It's important to young men to prove their manliness. It's a lack of respect for you. Treating a women as an equal really is proof that a man has confidence in himself. Tell him to take a hike! Believe it or not, His friends really aren't impressed.

because us guys cant be touchy around other guys thats would make us look gay but he does not have to be treat you badly he coould have just not be so mushy with you around his friends he could have still treated you good its probably his friends ans his nature u are better off without him

he is insecure. he just wants to look good around his friends. obviosly when guys get together they dont talk about emotional stuff we just love to act an a s s h o le! so he stepped on his emotions and forgot about you. its not your fault, its his weakness. leave him and let him realize what he had.
