i am 18 yrs old - a female . and im going into my 3rd month of univ and screwed up financially - like i overspent...dads really pissed off..i live alone also - my parents live out of th country...what can i tell my dad or what is a good argument/reason to convince my dad it was a mistake and a first year 'student screw up'

Tell him the truth you are learning to stand on your own two feet and it will be hard. Tell me someone at uni who is not financially screwed.

Work out a budget of your income against your weekly, monthly and termly outgoings before going back to your dad.
Tell him exactly where you have gone wrong and demonstrate how you can stick to your budget now that you have put your 1st year screw-up days behind you.
