i am trying to bake a cake for someone and i dont have any vegetable oil. is there any thing i can subsitute for vegetable oil?

You can use Olive oil if you have it.....I think you can even use butter...I think it is like a stick and a half...but then add another 1/4 cup of water so the mix won't be too thick. Good Luck!

Yes u can use olive oil with just a pinch on salt in it.
Other than that u can use butter to grease the Baking Pan.
Also depends on what cake ur baking.On that can u measure do u require a large amount of oil or no.

I never use oil in my cakes. I simply leave it out and replace it with plain water!

The cakes I make to order get nothing but compliments on how moist, so I know the oil is NOT missed !!

You can use other kinds of oil. Like Olive Oil, Safflower oil or what ever kind of oil you have. If no oil then you can use the same equal amounts of applesause. It does really work. The cake turns out very moist.

Listen to truth. Applesauce works great and makes the cake less fattening.

melt some lard and use it instead of the oil. i don t recomand olive oil, it will give the cake that olive oil taste which i don t like in cakes.

yes try applesauce!

You use the same amount of applesauce as you would oil.

do u have shortenin if so put that in the microwave heat it up let it melt there u go
