You might look at some nice subway art. Gang signatures etc are quite popular, although they are getting a bit last season now, but can still brighten the place up a bit.
Failing that, there are some very clever pavement artists who will make you some wonderful pictures.

Nothing too flashy you'll freak out the bats.. i used to live under a haunted bridge in cali.. 2 people had od'ed under there and one drown in the creek.. lol silly homebums..

I suggest you give the ten to Professor Grey. Not only will it make a statement, but it's currently a popular trend to use Orange, especially in a muted sense, as a pastel, and in combinations with pastel Pinks and pastel mint greens.
