spanking your children???

Proverbs 13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

Every good father/mother disciplines his/her child. A spanking not only stings, but causes a bit of shame to the child. It will make him/her think about what he/she has done. Too, the child will not want that spanking again and usually change his/her behavior to avoid it. Peace.

DO IT.. Spare the rod spoil the child. God does not say beat or abuse. In proverbs we are told to train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.

Teach our children about God andHis son and the wonderful gift of eternal life and God's plan of salvation.

Acts 2:38 Romans 6:1,2,3,4 Hebrews 11:1 Hebrews 11:6

Proverbs 23: 13, 14 Withhold not correction from the child....
Proverbs 10:19

There is nothing wrong with spanking your children. I'm not talking about vicious beatings and child abuse. Many places in the bible God calls us his children and tells us that He corrects us because He loves us.
Never spank your child in anger and always make sure your child knows why he's getting punished. Always stick to what you say or your words become empty and meaningless.

The Bible says spare the rod and spoil the child, but it also says thy rod and thy staff they comfort me, and
Colossians 3:21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged. KJV

So in other words sure we are supposed to give them order and discipline, We use the belt the same way a sheep harder uses the crook of his staff to pull them back to where they are the most safe.
You can only warn a child about crossing the street so many times before it is to late and you don't have a child anymore, If talking to your kids don't work at some point stronger discipline must be used.

Proverbs 29:15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

Proverbs 23:13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.

Proverbs 22:15 Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

here is a parent's responsibility-
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

i got a chance to sit with my dad about 6 months ago, and i told him he should have been harder on me as a child and given me spankings regardless of what my mother said. i needed the discipline, and corection, and now that i'm older i see my need for it as a child... so don't be afraid to spank your kid, but let them know why you're doin it, and that you love them and thats why you are gonna do it, and let them know what they did wrong, and if it were me i would not spank for something they didn't know was wrong

We need to discipline our children. Use your common sense. I think it is better to have a little spank that let your kid die because you did not make it clear enough that the kid must not put fingers in the electrical outlet.

We need to keep kids safe.
