Personaly I think there is more problems caused by the police than they solve.

The police are the first on the scene if there is a traffic accident. Usually they are the first to arrive at a structure fire. They respond to peoples homes during the dreaded domestic disputes. In all of these instances their own wellbeing comes second to helping the victims that they don't even know.
They put their lives on the line everyday for people like you.
You tell us how many criminals have been known to do any of these things.

How would you deal with crime if there were no police?
How would you control robbery, murder, illicit drug use & trafficking, rape, auto theft, disturbing the peace...?
If you got carjacked, how would you handle it?
If your mom had her purse snatched, how would you find the person that did it, let alone bring them to justice?
My biggest threat to the USA (in context) are people who do nothing about crime, but are the first to point at the police when something goes wrong.

Personally, I think you just have a problem with authority. The scumbag criminals outnumber the law enforcement officers by a huge margin. If the day comes when you are in trouble and need help, I hope they show up quick, and bail you out of your jam so you can be "Hatin on dem sum mo".

the biggest threat are the politicians...the damn policies they make put all the americans in great danger...they should try not ot bully and respect every ideology and culture..otherwise another 9/11 follows close....the police do what they r told to do..its fault of the very agressive temprament of uncle sam

Duh! The crooks are you idiot! Especially the violent ones. I work in a jail and see both sides of the coin for these guys. If you think for even a second that crooks aren't bad (as they are sometimes protrayed on tv and the movies) then you are a complete moron!

would you rather meet a criminal or a policeman in an alleyway ? if your answer is "criminal", you must be one.
if a burglar was breaking into your home , would you call the police, or another burglar ?
