I usually just wrap up some treats for them so that they can have something to open while we humans are. I do want to get my chihuahua some lil' snow boots though.........So, what is your dog/cat getting??

Of course I get my fur babies gifts. They usually get bones and toys. I too wrap them so they have something to tear open on Christmas day. My one dog is even in a secret santa paws gift exchange. That will be interesting. I love the idea of giving to an animal shelter too. I think I will start making that a tradition.

I don't buy my dogs presents but I do buy several 40lb bags of dog food and cat food and take it to the animal shelter every Christmas.

Just something I do because my dogs and cats are snug in my home while the shelter animals sit and wait in cages because they have no place.

I hate BYB and irresponsible pet owners. I have bought, adopted, rescued and saved from drowning my limit. I love everyone of them too.

If everyone just dropped off one bag of food at a shelter, you'd be surprised at how it can make you feel so good. Even better if a dog or a cat found a home with you on the way out the door.

Shelters need help year round but at Christmas time the feeling goes deeper when you share.

Our 2 Siberian Huskies don't get presents (that go under the x-mas tree) at Christmas, but they do both have Christmas stockings (with a place on the front of the stocking to insert a picture of them) that hang up next to the stockings of the rest of our human family members. They get dog treats year round, but at Christmas time, we usually go to PetSmart and pick out special treats and goodies to fill their stockings.

My dogs get treats all year long. I am sure they don't know Christmas from any other day of the year. I figure the Christmas tree is their treat. I'll be surprised if it survives this year. Someone around here always seems to get it. Perhaps I'll just hang doggie treats on it and they will leave the tree alone?

Of course dogs don't know what Christmas is, but us owners use it as an excuse to spoil them a bit more than they already are. My husband says that every day is Christmas for my dog. I always get some bones and edible stuff that my dogs will enjoy. This year my Rott is getting the most beautiful leather collar with rhinestones on it. She's going to look fabulous!

We just got Rocko this past summer, and yes he is definitely getting a present. He is a great dog and deserves it! My cat is getting something too. I will probably get Rocko a stocking and my cat Angel a toy and some treats.

We always just give them some doggie treats/bones on Christmas day. They are always happy to chew on something tasty.
