No its not a good Idea to put it in the washing machine

we were put on the earth to take care of animals not destroy them.

if you want to clean it wipe it down with a damp cloth. but not on the nose or the cat could get very sick and die. and don't use shampoos and conditioners because cats lick themselves it could get poisoned.

If it were my cat I'd leave it be.

No, because not only will the water in the machine scald the poor creature to death, but it will be drowned and bashed around.

If you want to wash your cat, make sure you're wearing old clothing, GLOVES and make sure that you have clipped your cats claws beforehand because it can get messy. Run water into your tub so that the cats paws are in it, but don't fill it, make sure it's shallow. Then, with very safe warm water (test with your elbow, like a baby's bath), use a jug to gently wet the fur and rinse out shampoo. Don't shampoo the cat's face. The water should never be cold as your cat can get a chill. Use either a specially formed cat shampoo or a mild baby shampoo. Hold the cat by the scruff at ALL TIMES. Dry the cat in a towl and use the hairdryer on a low heat because the cat will get a chill if you leave it wet. Don't blow the dryer at the face.

Not a good idea, but my cat is always trying to get into our machine, and has been for a spin in the tumble drier before now, so we have to be carefull.

yes, but there is a better way:

1. make a mixture of %20 milk + %30 shampoo + %10 games + %40 boiled water
2. talk to the cat and make sure that he/she understands the situation
3. let the cat drink 0.23 ml of the mixture
4. throw him/her from the 7th floor of the nearest building
5. wait for a week
6. go to the nearest hospital
7. u will find the cat in the dead fridge clean and tidy

Not funny.
Cats don't usually need to be washed, is there a health condition that is causing your cat to neglect it's hygiene?
If you do bathe your cat be careful to make sure it is properly dried afterwards, cats are vulnerable to low temperatures caused by water immersion.

Give that cat to me, baby. Cats adore being washed by gentle, skillful me :) I can offer no help for your lack of sense of humour, however...

It's okay, as long as you climb in too. Make sure you slam the lid down real hard on top of your head.

No, put some soap in the toliet. Then put him in the toliet and put the lid down and flush. But when you lift the toliet lid make sure your not in his way when he runs out the door. You might get scratched.
