Well you need to eat for the obvious reason for energy but there's also the fact that eating starts off your body for the day first thing in the morning.

Its a myth that if you just stop eating you'll loose a vast amount of weight straight away. Eventually you will but for a while your body will begin to store its fat because it knows no food is coming. So your weight will be steady for a day or 2 afterwards. Then it will attack the fat reserves, after that's gone it will attack the muscle tissue.

I can't give a proper answer from that info but I find I eat more when I'm bored. Our brains require constant positive stimulation and as we all know, 'food is really yummy'. It's really hard to stop eating at work if that food is right in front of you but you can control it at home. Don't stock your house up with snacks because it will always be at the back of you mind to want to eat them. Try also find a hobby that gets you out of the house after work and on weekends. Just keep that brain active and not thinking about food.

Obviously you should eat every day, ideally at least five meals. But if you're over-eating, that's an eating disorder, same as anorexia and bulimia, and you'll probably need professional help to get through it.

We need to eat something every week or so. If you don't eat anything in too long, your muscles are converted into food, then your digestive system. Once your digestive system goes out, your days are numbered. Then one vital organ must give way, then it's curtains for you!

Because you are normal and healthy. If you no longer wish to be these things, and wish to risk your furture bone denisty, fertility, hair growth and mental health, then please, feel free to make a concious effort to stop.
If you wish to lose weight, I suggest you go talk to your doctor, who will decide wether you should actually lose some, and if yes will get you to a nutritionist, or if you are on the verge of a life threatening eating disorder.
Good luck

You need energy to function in the day to day life. That is why you eat food that revitalises your body with renewed strength.

If you do not eat, you'd not have energy, nutrients to live. Than it means you'd be weak and eventually die.

Unless you are abnormal, you should eat everyday. However it is good not to eat too much. I would imagine 70-80% full is most ideal.
