Forget the fad diets and pills. The safest, most sustained way to lose weight, build muscle, increase endurance, etc. is made up of a well rounded fitness program that includes.
1. Plenty of rest
2. Proper nutrition
3. Cardio exercise
4. Strength training
5. Stretching before & after workouts

However, if fast is the only prerequisite and cost or safety isn't an issue, you could lipo & cut it out or simply do a food fast! Personally, I think the "well rounded fitness program" is the best alternative.

A healthy diet is the first step. Get all your vitamins, carbs, proteins, but of course avoid fats and junk foods at all costs. Here's the key, lift weights and do cardio. A muscle cell in your body burns much, much more calories to work than a fat cell does. When was the last time you saw a "buff" long distance runner? In other words, work out about 3 times a week, working both your upper body and lower body, following up these workouts with a mile or two. Running on non-workout days is a good idea too. Make sure u eat and sleep right or else you won't get that calorie-eating muscle.

I don't know about the fastest, but I lost 15 pounds the first month I started Weight Watchers.

The key things are portion control (watching total caloric and fat intake), adequate fiber, and as much aerobic exercise as you can handle - 3-4 times a week minimum when you break a sweat for 30-60 minutes.

The really good thing about Weight Watchers is that it's a sustainable lifestyle. No bizarre exclusions, no special food to buy. It's primarily about understanding the consequences of the food you choose to eat - reading labels and making better choices.

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

Workout 6 times a week and cut your food portions by half. Make sure to stay well hydrated with plain water when you work out and right through the day.

fasting is the fastest way but the hardest. If you don't do it right you might end up gaining more weight. So I suggest you just cut your portions and excercise like crazy.
