I wouldnt count that kiss as your first one. First kisses are supposed to be memorable. You say that you depression is mild. That, I would say is normal. Everyone has mild depression as defferent times in life. I did when I was a teenager and I know of alot of people that did also. Dont worry, you'll cheer up!! If you want a better life than what you have now, then start doing little things to change it. Good Luck and if I helped you, I dont need to be rewarded. I am glad to help. CHEER UP!!!!

Depression is real at any age/stage of life. If you can't think of something specific that is causing it (like a death in the family, extra tough semester, etc), you might have dysthymia, which is like an ongoing case of the blues which just doesn't go away. You can't help it. It's like having diabetes and needs treatment. Little things like a bad kiss, a lower grade on a test, a nasty look from someone who doesn't matter, a sad song, etc. can make you cry. You can't talk yourself out of it. This kind of depression is just THERE. It hurts. Talk to your school counselor, parent, trusted adult friend, doctor. There are treatments and you don't have to suffer. Believe me, I know. I've dealt with it since like age 3, and that's been for 43 years!!! (And don't worry about the first kiss....there will be more and they will be wonderful!)

Sweetie, when you are a bit down, even a big old bannana split can taste bad....you didn't waste the moment, it sounds like you were really trying to feel good, and perk up...something else is bothering you.. and as you said, it is affecting you now. The thing is, is it something you can talk to to a trusted adult? Is it your parents, or parent?...has someone betrayed your trust, or hurt you deeply? Someone you love and someone who shouldn't have done it to you? ....if this is what you are depressed over darling, please do me this favor...Try to find God and Jesus in your life, and forgive whoever hurt you...love Them and serve Them, and you will never feel lonely or blue again. As far as the kiss was concerned...?? When you are feeling like your self again, maybe you can kiss that lucky boy again, and it will be like the first time,..only better...You didn't waste any moments, because it made you think about your situation...which is good, because if you hadn't noticed anything wrong, you might not have tried to set out to improve yourself...God loves you darling, and Jesus is always there for you...God Bless you little one, and may you have a wonderful holiday and find peace xxxxxxx My prayers are with you xxxxx

Depression is a common problem. How long have you felt this way? How much is it affecting your life? If it is, as you say, a mild depression, then studies have shown that physical exercise is beneficial. If it's a deeper seated problem then you might need to see a psychologist and might also benefit from medication (anti-depressants)

You should talk with a trained professional who lives in your city. For now you can go to the phone book and call a help line or distress line. These people are well-trained and they will listen to you and talk with you over the phone and give you options about who the best professional person is to talk to about your feelings. These people go to school and go through intensive training in the area of psychology and human behavior and they are your best option to help you sort through your present thoughts and feelings. Please take advantage of these professionals they are on your side and will help you deal with your thoughts and feelings and present situation....a professional such as a family doctor can prescribe medicine to you which will help you partially deal with your situation.
