After the shapes were cut, I removed the excess dough and even though I kept it covered, it is too dry to work with. It cracks when I try to form a ball and cracks when I try to roll it out. Is there some way of making it moist again?

Soften about 1 Tablespoon of butter, and rub your hands in the butter. Then try working with the excess dough again. Please let me know if it helps.

try it with an egg white, if you can't work it in with your hands use a kichen aid
