I think 99% of men will feel flattered... but it doesn't mean that they really appreciate or like the female for a longterm relationship.

In other words, most men will like the *attention* but whether they really like the *female* is a different matter.

Some men may respect the female less because it's in their male genes to be the predator and when the woman asks, the men may be glad but may not treat the woman as well as she hopes in the long run (if it's a longterm relationship she is looking for).

Anyway.. guys should have the guts and the gallantry to make the first move. :)

Please, guys. You are men, not ladies.

Some hints from the woman is fine but chasing him is not.

I know there will be flames thrown my way for saying the above, but I tell it like it is. :)

Not a turn-off, and certainly more socially acceptable nowadays. It does take the pressure off, and even if she's not your type (eg: 'ugly' (their words, not mine)) it's still flattering.

Now, for all you who said, "Not if she's ugly", be honest: she's not only got more courage than you do because she came up to you and talked to a member of the opposite sex, she's probably the only girl you've talked to without st-st-stuttering because you haven't grown up yet.

No I think it's very flattering. I have been asked out by several ladies and I have always accepted and had a great time.

You female species have killed off chivalry and now we sit and wait.
