Of course it can be fixed. Question is at what cost? Also how reliable.
The printed circuit boards have thin copper tracks which connect different components. Depending upon how many tracks are damaged, one should evaluate the cost effectiveness.
One can get a replacement board. Efforts and skill to replace a board is less.
There are repair kits in the market, where you get tracks of different thickness and length. Sometimes plain copper wire can also do the trick.

DON'T touch the circuit board cause thers a device that converts low voltage into nearly lightning power. Id suggest ask an electrician to come hav a look ,if the cost to repair is too high then might as well get new tv and maybe get a high definition tv that u might just luv to watch amazing details that it generates.

if just the copper traces are broke, then it can be redone. If any of the components got broke, most can be replaced if its an older model. If the crack is to severe, then a new board will be needed. it depends on the size of the tv, if its a smaller one, might be cheaper to get a new one if the board has to be replaced

best is get a tv which does not have built-in dvd drive.
the above also applies to other devices such as mobile phones. try not to buy mobile phones with too much focus on mp3 playback.
instead, but a mp3 player separately.
you have to find the warranty card or receipt for your tv-and-builtin-dvd drive and call the technical support.
good luck!

No. Unless you are allergic to the components you are safe. I would suggest a dust mask and safety glasses. The only real other danger is transformers, capacitor and batteries but I don't think you are touching them. They can still have power even after days unplugged.
