I have had an appt booked for months for a haircut (and colour - see previous question) as my stylist is very popular. Unfortunately it turns out I have a night out that night (my appt is 6.45pm) - do I cancel the hair appt (she has no other appts and already has a cancellation list) and have crap hair for Christmas etc. or do I miss the night out?

Going out after is not so easy, as the night involves a meal. I don't want to arrive midway through. It usually takes about 2 hours for my hair as well. It is also very relaxing - I have a stressful job and it is nice to chill for a couple of hours - so I am not sure I will be up for a big night after.

Regarding my time - talk to my stylist - I have no control over it, I just sit there!

I think you should have your hair done (even though i think your a bit obsessed about it) you have lots more chances of going out leading up to christmas, you can make up for it next time.

Why not incorporate the two. Have your hair done and then join the party afterwards, that way everyone can admire your new hairdo..that's if they are still sober to notice. If you do cancel do it now so that your hairdresser can offer your appointment to another client.

Right pros and cons time. what do you value you the most your night out or your hair. You mentioned that you booked your appointment months ago, so if this was the case why did you agree to go on a night out knowing that you had an appointment at the hair dressers. No, I think you should go on your night out (and so do you) first and foremost. You can always make another appointment for the hairdressers but you may never get asked out again if your friends think you are an utter poser.

Alternatively you go just go for a quick blxw jxb and still be in time for the meal. You can have your cake and eat it too if you organise yourself and compromise.

Just ring them up or go in and ask if they have an earlier appointment. If not just think which you would rather do. I mean if you have a stressful job and it relaxes you to get your hair done, do that im sure because christmas is getting nearer, there will be more meals and parties. your hair cut is a one off. hope that hepled. x

Depends what you want more I suppose. Life is all about sacrifices. What means more to you? If it was me there'd be no competition. I'm not vain so the hair appointment would be cancelled & i'd be out for a good night out.

Get your hair cut, you'll feel better, you can always have another night out and you'll look great in all the family photos taken over Christmas.
