so my dog had 8 puppies 4 boys 4 girls
and one of the girls is reallly really skinny but she loooks like she is nursing.
it is worrying me there only like 24 hours old but the rest have a little tummmy and you cant see her bones and really feel them.
i just want to know if i should go to the vet about this or is it maybe just because shes just smaller then the others or doesnt feel like drinking as much as the others. or is she at risk of dying. thanks

I would have her looked at. Have you checked her for cleft palate? Puppies need to be gaining weight every day at this age. She may need supplemental nursing or tube feeding.
Don't take chances with your precious puppies, see the vet.

Hey don't worry, I've been through it before with my dogs. I believe it's just different from the others. As long as it's nurning and breahing it's fine. If it happens to see that the puppy does not move, breath, or nurse then take it to the vet. I am sure your puppy has a cure =)

if she is the smallest then she is the runt of the litter keep an eye on her if you think she needs extra go to the vet and get milk from them and feed her a bit by urself will not do her any harm at all that what i done with mine which are 8 weeks old good luck

What breed of dog is she? will the puppies need there tails docked? If not then just make sure that the littlest puppy is nursing. If not then by goats milk and feed her with a baby bottle and make sure that it is warmed. If you have any more ? Please let me know.
