That is fantasy. Just like swords and sorcery here in the West... we did not have Dragons and mages casting spells here... that is just a story or a myth. There might have been Hercules or a Achillies but they did not have the powers attributed them. Sure they might have been GREAT warriors, but they were not that strong or that invulnerable. The movie Troy puts a practical spin on the myth.

There are full time monks now who practice martial arts that do have access to the latest training techs, so I don't buy the arguement they trained harder... just a thought though.
Peace.
Wait, I just saw Destroyer's comments. I agree with him.
That an planes...

Of course they could fly...didn't you see crouching tiger, hidden dragon? The only problem is that they were flying in the Himalayas and the altitude was too high to get any good video. They were also bulletproof and urinated fresh sake every Thursday. Those were the days...

I'm sure some of them could jump really high, as much as possibly five feet into the air. That's when it got exaggerated as flying.

yes.. they can!
bcos their training in ancient times is hard and extensive, while today... they are being distracted by many things, such as tv... and they forget about training!
moreover, the last master who can fly already died... he can no longer teach those techniques to those kung fu guy(current) you're saying... that is why, jet li/jackie chan can no longer fly because they no longer practice... all they care about is shooting a film!

No its a myth. "Flying" was started as a way of showing that a character was beyond regular human skills .

Of course, not! haven`t you seen people using all sorts of props while acting? They have all those hooks and swings which they use while so-called "flying".
