My first single year of dating, I have rarely been approached by black men. I go to all different types of enviroments from museums to the clubs. If I am approached by a black man he usually is married or older. I am 23, dated a white man for over 5yrs, very attractive and very educated...whats wrong with me?
Do I now have some type of vibe that I give off, lol
???

I am simply middle class. Just don't understand why my own race does not approach me??
Thank you for your opinions!!

Wow.. I've had this same issue, but never ever thought that black men were 'intimidated' by me. None of them ever approached me. I grew up in a predominately white community, all my friends were white and I was the only black child in school until my brothers arrived. I've always been around white people and felt comfortable with them. My first boyfriend of 7 years was white and every other man I've been approached by or attracted to have been white. That includes both husbands and casual relationships and one-night stands.
I've gone through all the names anyone could think of calling me. I've heard most of the whispers and have seen those eyes rolling in the back of peoples heads. Which people you ask? Mostly black women and those same black men that wouldn't ask me on a date if I were the last person on earth. And all of this before they hear my voice (you know that one that they assume you are white until they see your face).

The right person will step into your life (no matter what ethnicity he is). If you want find you'd like to date a black man, then you make a move and don't wait for them to. I'm sure you are beautiful, very well educated and pleasant to be around. I wouldn't worry about their problems.

I'm going to push political correctness aside and give you a very blunt answer.

Men care very little what a woman's education level is or what she does for a living if they like the way she looks. So if no black guys are approaching you, that means they're not attracted to you. Are you very skinny? I ask this because when I was 30 pounds heavier, all the guys I attracted were either black or Hispanic. And believe me, black guys are NOT easy to intimidate, particularly if you're a woman they find attractive. They tend to be very vocal about their attraction, I couldn't help but notice. Now that I'm underweight, I might as well not exist to black guys and most Hispanic guys but plenty of white guys and Asian guys seem attracted to me now.

Also, I've heard that black guys prefer women who are lighter in skin tone than themselves. So if you have very dark skin, that may be why you aren't attracting them.

Very shallow reasons yes, but males are visually oriented when it comes to attraction. If they give less shallow reasons, I would not believe them. Those are just excuses for not finding you physically attractive. They are all about the visual.

So that is my honest opinion: You're either too skinny or perhaps too dark-skinned to attract black guys. So just be happy with the men who DO find you beautiful.

Maybe the men not approaching you are not right for you anyway. Maybe they're doing you some good by not talking to you. Maybe you should squash the notion that black men are intimidated by you. Maybe you should clear your mind & let love happen.

I dont think that it sounds like intimidation. It just sounds like you are good looking. Unless you dont want the attention of black guys. It sounds like you have a nice butt. Black guys are butt men. White guys are more of a breast man. It has nothing to do with your education level.

I'm not saying this is for definite but I have quite a few black men as friends and they do regularly comment on just how demanding, high maintenenace and difficult to please black women can be. As a result they prefer to date white or oriental women.

Maybe it's not you, just the stigma attached to you by the "average" black male?

somethimes, thing r not really like we want, if the white man better, why not just eccept him? right? it is more important to seek true love than colour,

ok? hope it helps.

Confidence? Men usually tyr to go for the women with less confidence so they can play mind games with them. You are one strong women, and MUST be intelligent enough to know that you know your grounds of acceptable and unacceptable. Try to approach a guy with less confidence in himself and see where that gets you.
