Most of my praying involves me just talking to God as opposed to kneeling and doing it. I talk to God while driving, while watching TV, while mowing the grass, etc... So I would have to say quite a bit.

I pray when i see a speeder driving behind me, i pray when i am on a banana boat and the guy is about to go really fast, i pray when i roll a dice, i pray when i am about to get my exam results, i pray when oprah is on and i want it to be something interesting, i pray when i bake a cake, i pray when i think i have something in my nose i can't get rid off infront of others, i pray when i spill coffee on my trousers, i pray when i watch a sad movie, i pray when i see poor children on tv, i pray when i am rollerblading down a steep slope, i pray when i am in church and the priest is watching me...
People pray all the time, praying is not just kneeling with your hands together at church!

I am a fool... and so I pray not in hours... but whenever the spirit calls.... I will not force myself upon God... Just as God does not force Himself upon me, or anyone for that matter..... And so we have choice as to whether we would worship Him.......
When I let my spirit move I worship Him in spirit and in truth as is supposed to be done according to Scripture..... Not out of habit or force of will, but by being moved to do so........... One cannot force the spirit to move... One can ask the spirit move.... and when it does... it's an excellent time to pray........ because the spirit is with you and in you.....

Ginger

I am muslim we pray 5 times a day.
one before sun rise.
one one hour after midday.
one in the afternoon
one just after sun set.
one when the night get dark.
these 5 are obligtory. in the day of judgement, God will not see at your deeds until He look at your prayers.
we have extra prayers accompagning these 5 prayers.
these extra will be of benefit.
these make you closer to God (God is pleased with you).
in the day of judgement, if some of your obligatory prayers are not accepted, God will look at your extras prayers.
Also there is other volountary prayers, that you can make yourself to be closer to God, to ask him for something, to ask him for forgivness, repentance.
God says < my servant is closer to me when prostrating >
If he ask me I will give him, if he ask for forgivness I will forgive him, If he .......
when a person goes and ask for repentance with 2 prostrations in the middle of the night when everybody is sleeping, Gos says to the angels < look at my servant, he know that he has a lord >
who in the middle of 5 billions people in the world can get up at night and do this?
For fasting also, God look at the obligatory ones, than the extra.
Also for charity.
