There is no harm in being a "good " person. Maybe you would rest easier if you took the basic principle of religion which is be good to those around you, and living that to the fullest. Whether the Jews or muslims or christians are right then would'nt matter at all. Just treat every one around you as you would like them to treat you and leave it at that. That is what I do. I also don't follow any given religion and actually think that to some measure they are all flawed and a little evil. But I am content to be a good person and go about life that way. When I die, well, I'll be dead.

all religions have some truth, and some falsehood.
the trick is to learn to discern the bits of truth, clean them off, straighten them out, and fit them all together like a big puzzle.
some religions the piece it has is big, clean, and near the surface, others its small, buried deep, and warped, sometimes somewhere in the middle.
what *REALLY* amuse me the most, are the "strong atheists" that is the people who don't merely NOT believe in god, but belive that god does NOT exist. that is... that there is NO god rather than simply NOT having been convinced that there IS.
another point is to define between religion and spirituality. religion is a social construct, spirituality is a relationship/understanding between you and your deity and/or your understanding(s) of the afterlife and/or metaphysical/spiritual world.
one could be profoundly spiritual but very non-religious. and much mroe common, is people semi-religious but profoundly non-spiritual.
I "believe my beliefs are correct" in the same way that I "believe" that gravity is so, and that within the scope of the natural happenings of the physical world, that generally newton's laws of physics and such are applicable and generally the way things work.
I have personally experienced such that I know that the things I "believe" in spiritually are so, just as I have experienced that gravity, in the given parameters, is so.
in fact I have more confidence in the metaphysical stuff than the physical stuff.

I know my religion is true coz I know the one whom I believed. I know he is real and there isn't a speck of doubt in me about that. Peace and kindness is not the answer as such but the answer is to have God in your heart, believe his every word and not what man teaches. You will surely know the true religion when the time comes for the testing. Unfortunately those who are lost will only realise that when its too late to do anything.

What if you believe you can help? And then have the tools to do so. Then see that it works. Then see others getting better, expanding in life, improving, becoming smarter and more intelligent, faster, cleaner, more sane. Why are these things so good? I believe they are good. I am a Scientologist. It works for me. I have seen the results on others too. It isn't a religion strictly on beliefs, but workability and practical answers based on facts/logical conclusions.

My friend, I can be so sure because I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and I KNOW God. All born again Christians KNOW God too. We would not be able to KNOW Him if He was not real! There is NO other religion that can claim they KNOW God, or that they have a personal relationship.
Jesus said He is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to God the Father except through Him.

I think you're mixing concepts: religions - may religious people know this or not - have nothing to do with reasons. People believe (and are completely sure of) just what they want.
Whatever people believe, it has nothing to do with you. So - as long as they let you live - what's the point in discussing about what they want to be so sure of? [Should you be so smart, maybe you wouldn't waste your time asking this kind of questions]
You also presume religious people have not only the will but also the capability to think logically. Where have you taken that idea from?

people are Corrupt in every religion.
The christian gospel is most correct of all religions, but all religions are formed to teach righteousness and faith. without faith it is hard to please God.
There are different versions of Hell, no matter where you look. If you are in the presense of angels their is the torment of hell. if you believe in hades, you know that hell is a place of burning. if you believe in the lake of fire, the SUN is obviously a huge ocean of fire that appeared to be a lake. if you believe that hell is outer darkness, that exists too.
if you arrive in heaven and God withholds the promised blessing of "all things" and your reward is limited to slave class you are in hell because you dont have the greatest blessing. Most people fall into this category
The mormon religion has modern prophets. and they have another witness of jesus christ called the book of mormon. If christianity is TRUE above all else than this religion is true above all christianity! but dont tell that to catholics who believe all protestants are apostates and left the one true religion because their religion was started by Peter! Oh but dont tell the protestants because the catholics excommunicated at least two popes so their authority was hijacked by a group of bishops and ordained their own pope and of course the doctrines of the church were usurped.
oh wait! you cant tell this to the jews because they are the chosen ones and of course they never fell out of favor by God even though they had two TEMPLES destroyed.
And of course you cant tell this to the muslims because they had a prophet and That prophet declared that there would never be anymore prophets.
yet they have their emums which should not have any authority to act in the name of God or speak the words of God because it takes a person who is a prophet to speak For God.
So that only leaves the ONE TRUE messiah! And despite the flaws in christianity WE have always declared the gospel to be true.
Yet the hindus have Chrisitiannity by the hundredfold and the library of the hindu is greater knowledge and hidden messages that most christians would call apostate because its NOT in the Bible. But the Jews had their own torah, (i.e bible) and yet they claimed to jesus face they have their own prophets and need no more and killed many prophets. So israel became children of the false religiosn students of murderers.
NONE of the religions are true They all teach the precepts of Man. and god declared them ALL to be an "ABOMINATION"

I thought the same as you. But I later discovered that there is a spiritual world out there and it's very real. I see God on a daily basis and thats why I know he is the real deal.

Well, lets see. I myself am a non-believer. I dont periodically do something religious to justify my wants, needs. If you believe you do... you do..... if you dont..... you dont. Ive been looking for years for a sign...a signal.... someone saving my child from a burning house, pulling my husband out of that inflamed, overturned car. NO, NOTHING! JUST DESPARE! And Im sure Ill have the "Believers" saying that was because you didnt believe!

I don't consider myself religious I consider myself spiritual. There are too many religions to decide on which ones are right so I just try to live my life being righteous towards otheres and believing that there is a higher power that watches over us.
