1. Ayia Sofia
2.The bahar pazar and Kapali Tsarsi
3.Kiz Kulesi - a tower in the middle of the sea, in the Asian part of the city!
4.Taksim - the most commercial part of the city! you ll see people from all over the world walking there! the biggest street is there, full of modern and traditional stores! you can find everything there!
5. there is a boat that sales across Bosporus! I didn't had the time to do that but I believe it would be wonderful -
6. Sultanmehmet Tzami and Blue Tzami (right across Agia Sofia)

Have a nice time there!

Regards

4 days is a very short time to see Istanbul but I suggest the following:

1) If possible, stay in the Sultan Ahmet area of the city which puts the following in easy walking distance:
Topkapi Palace (closed Tuesdays)
Aya Sofia (closed Mondays)
The Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Camii)
Yerebatan Sarayi (ancient underground water cistern)
Archaeological Museum (closed mondays)
Kapali Carsi (Grand Bazaar)

2) Slightly further afield (walkable or a short taxi ride away):
Suleymaniye Camii (mosque of Suleyman the Magnificent)
Misir Carsisi (Spice Bazaar/Egyptian Bazaar)

3) Further still, necessitating public transport or a long taxi ride:
Dolmabahce Palace

These are the MAIN sites but there are plenty more!

Other things to consider are a) Eating fish on the shores of the Bosphorus, b) Going up the Galata Tower, c) Shopping on Istiklal Caddesi, d) Drinking tea/ coffee/ cocktails in Pera Palace hotel (where Agatha Christie stayed in room 411), e) Travelling up the Bosphorus on a ferry.

Istanbul is a magical city. Whatever you end up doing, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Iyi yolculuklar, iyi tatiller!! (have a good journey and a good holiday).
