That's just dumb. Of course it doesn't turn white. The molecules in the chocolate just move slower when frozen, making the chocolate harder, they don't chance appearance.

chocolate goes white with age, depending on the quality of the chocolate (cocoa solids, vegetable fat etc) it may go white sooner or later. it doesn't affect the taste, but it does affect the appearance alone

Ive never heard of chocolate being placed in a freezer before, fridge maybe especailly if its hot outside. I dont know why you would want to. Personally no chocolate lasts long enough around me to go into a fridge, or go white through old age... but then Im a greedy pig at the best of times

Chocolate only goes white when it gets old, that's the milk solids coming to the surface and producing a "bloom" or if melted and raised to too high a temperature before setting again, again this is milk solids coming out of the chocolate

When chocolate is made it is by mixing cocoa powder and fats, when you freeze chocolate or it melts, the 2 seperate, and then reset in different layers. The white is the seperated fat.

yeah when its exposed to differnet temps it does, if it melts and then you put it in the fridge in will go white and not taste so great, also it goes white when its gone bad...like out of date so if in doubt...throw it out!
