yes you can, but you have to look for the Maestro logo on the ATM before you start. not all ATMs will take it.

NO both maestro and switch cards only let you withdraw cash from your own bank account, i don't know whether the link system operates in the US now but it hadn't used too, so best use Visa or MasterCard..

No bank in the US will accept switch but there will be some banks that will accept Maestro. You won't have a problem.
