Samui is great. Phuket is nice in quiet spots. I live in Patong Beach and don't recommend it for a vacation. Phi Phi is beautiful but crowded and kind of party ALL the time. I would check out Aonang--not an island, but a beach in Krabi. Great views and enough to do without being too touristy. Hope it helps!

I recommend "Koh Chang" (literally means 'Elephant Island') in Trat, a small province in the south-east of Thailand. It's my hometown and the island's been famous, popular with quiet places for local and foreign tourists to visit and relax there since some 20 years ago.
Please visit our official TAT website for more info. (TAT=Tourism Authority of Thailand)
Welcome and enjoy your stay there.

Head to the east where you get more privacy and relaxation, as well as getting pampered. Koh Chang is one. There are a few other around too. You can always check it out when in Trat.

just came back from Krabi. I think this is a nice place to get relax and get pampered. The nearby islands are beautiful with white sandy beaches and crystal clear water. You can get massage service easily in Krabi too.

Kho Chang (or smaller hyde-a-ways,list too long) since Phuket,Kho Samui,Phi-Phi are very touristic but lovely though. Getting pampered as u called it is a normal Thai-custom everywhere so don't hesitate to travel around.

Koh Samui - Chaweng Regent villas are an absolute dream, with a private beach and rustic settings... you will never want to leave.
when u're completely rested, just step out into the main street for bit of shopping and partying. it's got, in my opinion the best location along Chaweng Beach of Koh Samui

Koh Samui. It's small enough to find a spot for yourself but big enough so you can get all the pampering you want.
Phuket is getting too over crowded.

Check out Railay beach in Krabbi. Or Phi Phi island.
The best beaches are in Krabbi not Phuket.
Phuket beaches are all flat and plain looking.
