Yes, you can fly but you have to sign on a paper issued by your airline when checking in. It will say something like"Airline does not have any responsibility at all in case you are not permitted the entry to Thailand due to the validity of your passport". Thai government requests more than 6 month valid passport for the entry. I strongly recommend you to renew your passport to avoid the disappointment at Bangkok airport. However...... when my friend visited Thailand last year, he did not notice his passport would be expired less than 5 months. He signed the paper of TG and flew into Bangkok, and the immigration was smooth as silk, he said. He also said it was one of the luckiest and yet most terrifying experiences he ever had and never wants to do it again. Rush to passport office for renewal.

3 months is pushing it. I had just about 6 months left on my passport last April and I had to sign a waiver with the airlines. It took an extra 10 minutes for the airlines to figure out what to do.
The immigration authorities in Thailand did not even blink when I entered. I was not worried since I had a return ticket. The Thai government is supposedly getting tougher about limiting your stay and that may be true but, I would not worry too much.
Just in case get your passport renewed. It's worth the time rrenewing your passport to reduce the hassle with the airlines and the immigration authorities. I like stress free vacations.
Good luck

As a rule, your passport must be valid for 6 months and must have an onward ticket. I believe that holds true in Bangkok as well.

Most countries require a passport with at least 6 months validity, Thailand is no exception. Suggests you get your passport extended, to avoid any inconvenience.

Hi Some countries may deny you entry if you don't have a passport with at least six months validity. Check whether this applies to your destination and plan accordingly.

You need 6 month validity left on your passport to enter Thailand. Have it renewed. Any problem with this?
