If you really want to know about earth history go to a library and borrow an unslanted unbiased non religious book without an agenda on geological history and read it and if you don't understand get someone to explain it to you!!
Remember this is the same geological science that finds the oil that runs your car the steel that built it and underpins billions and billions of dollars in trade and drives the worlds economy.
Then if you still believe in a young earth creation fine but just don't expect people to be happy when you try to force there kids to learn such rubbish along side mainstream science!!
Keep creationism at home or in church and let educators teach what is useful in the real world!!

The world CAN be billions of years old. We have the dinosaur bones to prove it. However, it is MAN that has been here only a comparatively short time...6-8,000 years.
Genesis chapter five...the life spans of the Jewish Patriarchs. And Matthew Ch. 1 and Luke ch. 3...Jesus' geneology.
A timeline chart will give a result.
