Cool.:-) It seems to me that most folks fall into the trap of thinking that they either need to lead (some of these write books) or follow (some of these live according to the dictates of those same books). They are unaware of any other alternative. The alternative is simple. Don't lead. Don't follow. Just walk. ;-) ~ Peace & Blessings ~

depends on what your definition of meeting a prophet means!
I know i have seen the faces of at least 2 prophets One of them looked like either abraham or Isaiah. not sure which one it was. but I do know I saw him and he saw me.
If you ask this question to say: GET RID of the OUT dated Bible. I say that is the worst thing you can do!
The best thing to do is get a testimony through prayer and then studying the scriptures will be more complete and the bible would not be obsolete. the correct interpretation of scriptures does not come from the minds of men but from God

If your book had answers that I could apply to living a fruitful life then sure I'd follow it.

How about I say you and me are buddies? Then I can make other people pay me money so that you don't call in your all-powerful invisible friends to f*** everything up. I'll split the cash 50/50 with you.

If you were to live a sinless life and then were to die for me and then rise again the third day...then I would have more a tendency to believe you. Oh yea...I would want to see things written about you dating back several hundred years that would tell me about you and how you would live...and die to prove that YOU were the one they talked about
My JESUS proved to me to be just who HE said he was. You have not!

No. Because then you would become the "almighty" god whose teachings are to be how life is lived.
