There are so many different signs- BUT at the end of the day, you will just know deep down when somethng doesn't feel right ! When your friends or family start questioning your actions or habits of your relationship. When you completely forget about yourself and just do things for your partner, at all costs. When you feel sad or neglected or just down for no apparent reason. When for example, you's don't communicate and always make excuses for not wanting to communicate, ie, shopping, cleaning or meetings etc...

some of the signs are obvious. An excuse why they can't see you at times, sending your calls to an answering machine alot,
and not trusting you or viceaversa. Trust is the building blocks of a relationship of any type. Is he hitting you, talk sharpy to you, make to feel like an idiot in front of you friends. No one deserves that and their are alot of fish in the sea that would love to know you.

Does he/she seem disinterested in you, or lose their temper more than can be reasonably excpected while talking with you...Maybe choosing things that cause you not to spend time with them, like going to friend's house, or bar, or shopping instead of being with you. Abuse is a definate sign. I hope you are ok.

Do you know where your own boundaries are? Are these boundaries violated in the relationship? If so, get out.
