I hit my elbow and it sent vibration down it, but strangly the vibration continued for days. what causes this and what is the medical term for it?you can't see the vibration, but when you put your hand on my arm you can feel it vibrating.

My arm had a vibration to it for DAYS. It didn't hurt, it just had a vibration to it and could not be seem,but felt. It was like a tremor,but only could be felt not seen. Doctor could not or did not explain why this was happening.I am a carrier of spinal muscular atrophy . Wondering if a simple injury could have caused this unique syndrome in me. Wondering if anyone else has experienced it. It lasted for DAYS.

It's called hitting your Ulner Nerve, and it totally sucks. It can leave numbness in the arm or fingers for weeks if it is bad enough. You may have trouble gripping objects for a while, but there is rarely long term affects. You just knocked your funny bone and it happens to all of us. I have to say it's not as bad as stubbing your toe.

You have hit your ulnar nerve. If you hit it pretty good your symptoms will most likely persist for a little while. I have had this happen personally and it was not fun.
