How can I be a real christian?

I really want to be a real christian. But I don't know the way. And also, the environment around me is not favorable to be a real christian. Corrupted world besieges me.

Being a "real" anything, is bosht and bathwater. You can ask every person on the face of the earth and get a different answer for that question, but if you want another opinion here is one.

I would say, go home and study the Bible for yourself. Really read the book, without a priest or a preacher there to tell you his or her view. When your confused, of course ask someone and see if you agree with the interpretation. After that think... Do I believe in not stealing? Okay, then don't steal. How can I be compassionate in everyday life? Think about solutions. Open a door for someone or take the time to teach someone a new skill that can better their life.

Truly the only way to be a real "anything", is to study and then act. This is all moot, however, if you cannot ever seperate yourself from the world and or believe that "real" is subjective, and that really, it's just setting up your own personal standards and trying ot live by them.

Be brutally honest with God when you talk to Him from this day forward and you will succeed. Hold nothing back. Never forget he knows what you're thinking anyway, so just say it. Don't believe Christianity today? Say it. Feel mad at God today for some reason? Say it. And be willing to give it ALL up, my friend. He will take from you what needs to be taken, just don't keep a tighter grip on anything more than your Hope to stay connected to Him.

And next, ask God to help you find others who want to be the same way.

And finally, no matter how cruddy things get, practice being thankful anyway.

The word 'christian' means Christlike. So to be a real and true christian you have to follow the footsteps of Jesus closely, and how can you do that - make the bible your companion by reading it daily, not as novel but as the inspired word of God and this calls for proper meditation. Read the bible and believe in God and do whatever He says in the bible. That's what real Christians do. And a real Christians wouldn't let the world corrupt him as long as his heart belongs to the Lord Jesus.

Study the Bible, pray to God (Jehovah) through his son (Jesus) and ask for guidance and direction in how to find the truth about him. He'll send someone to help you. Being a Christian isn't is not easy for anyone. Christ said those who were his followers would be persecuted for their beliefs, and said to all those wanting to be his followers they would have to "...disown himself and pick up his torture stake day after day and follow me continually."
