Emotions are like anything else - expressing them takes practice. It can be easy to intellectualize emotion if you've been taught at some point in your life that displaying emotion is "bad." Try putting yourself in situations where you'll be likely to feel emotions, but where you won't necessarily be around other people, at least at first. I've found that movies are good practice; watch a funny movie and laugh out loud; watch a tear-jerker and let the tears flow, even if it's only a trickle at first. Watch a movie that makes you scared, and cover your eyes for the scary parts, or watch a movie that makes you angry and boo and hiss at the bad guy. It's practice, however silly it may sound, and it works!

Intellectualization is a common defense for smart people. Its so easy to get wrapped up in the logistics of things that you can forget to look at the emotion underneath it. The next time you catch yourself being wrapped up in your brain, start asking yourself whats underneath it, then go underneath that, etc...Sometimes talking to your brain like its a small child can work really well "Hey brain....what is it that you need right now? Are you sad?angry?disappointed?happy?disgusted?" Allow yourself to be still and feel. I know that it can be hard to stay still long enough to hear what your emotions really are!
Recognizing emotions is the first step to expressing them.

say whatever you feel like saying.. sometimes talking without thinking lets you express your emotions.. Probably you are not that expressive because you might be scared of what the outcome will be but it is best if you let out things. Start with someone whom you trust. Discuss little issues and say what you think. You are also expressing your feelings when you say your point of view. Emotions are also connected with the cognitive thinking..

Inspire yourself from others behavior ... I'm so brainy myself, but we also have so many advantages, don't worry...words will come out from you're mouth when u will be filled up with feeling..and people will treasure more, because they are used to us differently... Is even better our way, many ppl tries hard to be like that :)

Through a concious effort of making vivid facial expressions, gestures, as well as a variation in voice tone.

I would not bother. If you don't do it "naturally" I would not try to force the issue. It will look fake to others and will make you feel awkward. You cannot faithfully express something you do not actually feel.

By your personal face exercises, writing in a journal, doodling, friends talking with them, to pets or yourself, but not in public people think you would have scheziophrenia (dilirious or hallucination).
