I have been reading about Mother Teresa and a number of people quote her on only caring to convert the dying to the Catholic faith. I also read that she recieved a number of donations and did not spend them to help the poor as people once thought. I think she is a fraud and people should be recognized for who they really are.

I was wondering when Mother Teresa would become the subject of attack. This is comical.

No, she wasn't a fraud.

I believe her mission was to those who were dying, so, from the Roman Catholic perspective, converting them to that faith was better than letting them die any other religion.
There is another point, and it regards the poor people and the corruption in India. India is a democracy, and if people choose to vote for politicians who don't want to eradicate poverty and fight corruption, then that is their choice. Politicians would certainly deal with it if they thought they would get votes for being determined about this, they obviously don't believe there are votes in it, so the responsibility rests with the voters. Is it Mother Teresa's responsibility to try and fix a problem which is really the responsibility of the voting public in India / the Indian Government / any other Government? No it's not.

Fraud you think So? well you have never picked up a child that no body would touch but you are ready to judge Mother Teresa. She was honoured by the indian people upon her death like a great leader. She could not have recieved donations and not spent on what it was meant for. not in INDIA

dan: You have the right to your opinion - that doesn't mean your opinion was right ! She was honoured by governments throughout the world for her benevolence ! Her "fruits" of her doings speak volumes and the people she helped weren't frauds either ! You should try volunteer work yourself and you will somehow, make the connection as to why mother Teresa did what she did for her own life. It's easy to sit back in our comfort zones and criticize those who help others. Maybe one day, you will be talked about negatively for the volunteer work you do !

Its a suggestion worthy of consideration! Irrespective of here earthly activities if she wasn't born again herself then I'm afraid she has missed heaven by a mile. The Bible is clear on this issue as no one can justify themselves before the Lord by their works. ("by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified in his sight")
Sadly there are many today who believe their good works will get them into heaven and these same people have gone about establishing their own righteousness and ignoring the righteousness of God. Romans Ch.3 V22 shows how a person can avail themselves of the righteousness of God which is the only standard of righteousness that the Lord will both recognize and accept. remember Abraham? the Bible talks about him being a man just full of good works and he had plenty to brag about "...but not before God Abraham believed God and it (his belief/faith) was accounted unto him as righteousness" as works have nothing to do with being justified before the Lord.

What possible benefit is there for her to be a fraud. It's not like she was living in a big mansion kicked back with diamonds and rubies and slaves running around.

She devoted her life to the poor and the sick. And she didn't force her religion down anyone throat. "You be a good muslim", I've heard of her saying.

Would you care to reveal your sources? You can't believe everything you read and hear. Mother Teresa lived in poverty, by choice, to care for the sick and dying. She is a terrific role model for us all.

God bless,
Stanbo

I think that you wanted to believe that because of your ill feelings towards Christianity. If you want to persue honest fraud then attack the United Nations for their Oil for Food scandal where they stole millions from needy people.

Mother Teresa was a shining example of charity and selflessness. It's ashame that you would try and attack her.
