Most children go to kindergarten when they are 5 years old.
Most preschools take little ones as young as 3 years old, but really you know your baby and you will know when she is ready. Just make sure you get her excited about going before. Tell her how lucky she is that she gets to go. Basically, really sell the idea of how great it is. It will make it a lot easier for both you. Most children love it. Check out a couple of good places before you decide on one. After all your baby is going to be there several hours a day.

Usually it is 3 or 4 for pre school and 5 going on 6 for Kindergarden. Talk to the schools and your doctor.

Kindergarten is going to depend on your state laws. Were I live you have to be 5 when the school year starts. Some places it 5 by Nov or Dec.
