Soy sauce is lo/no carb lo/no fat, but is is VERY high in sodium which can cause you to retain water (=pounds). Try using Tamari, it is a low sodium soy sauce and is great to use as a seasoning but with just less salt.

low-fat and low-carb means low-results...unless of course you're trying to destroy your health. fats are necessary and essential to good health...that's why they are called essential fatty acids (EFA's). every cell in your body is made up a bilipid (fat) cell wall. and the most nutritious and nutrient dense foods you can eat are fruits and vegetables...which are carbs! the only carbs you need to avoid are refined sugars, white flour, white rice, and alcohol...and the only fats you need to avoid are trans fats, saturated fats, and hydrogenated fats.

you can use a little, there is no fat in soy sauce, but there is about 3g of carbs in a tblsp...so lots of carbs...and remember, its loaded w/salt
