What is a good hair dye for African American Hair ?

I am have not put a hair dye in my hair for awhile and was wondering what is a good hair dye for African American. Also my hair texture is coarse. Thank you in advance for responses.

The best product to use for dying your hair a permanent color would be Clairol Texture N' Tones Permanent Hair coloring, Cream of Nature Hair Coloring, and/or Dark N' Lovely Hair Coloring. They give great results and are true to bringing out the color that is on the box. The only thing is it's safer to get your hair permanently dyed by a beautician. The risk of damaging your hair by doing a permanent coloring on your hair @ home is high. If you can't afford to go to the beautician / or you don't know which color you would like to have, why not try Jazze's Semi-Permanent Hair Coloring. They have so many different colors to choose from, it's temporary (washes out after seven shampoos), and healthier (no ammonia or peroxide), and the color comes out bold. And once you've found the color that you would like to go with, you've tried it, you liked the way it looks on you, you want it permanently, then have your beautician dye your hair that color. Remember, though, that if you do a permanent Jet-Black it will be extremely hard to dye your hair a lighter color. So please be sure that when you dye it a permanent dark, it's the color you want for a long time.......:-) Good luck with your color

My best friend uses Dark & Lovely and I really do think she has beautiful hair and color. I would try that one for sure.

if you have blonde hair that will naturally get bleached by the particular sun in the summer. There was this guy in my class who also had golden blonde hair that was a medium brown near the bottom part. When he came back to university after summer vacation, it was nearly platinum blonde!

Jet black hair. I have actually dark brown hair and I believe dark hair looks better. I don't really like blonde hair.

It depends on your skin color. I'm light brown and so is my hair color, also has natural streaks of red in it. I recommend if you are light then try Light brown, medium red, or auburn. If you are darker then try vibrant reds, blonde, or honey blonde.
