Nobody Wins

U said this aint over yet
I said things that I’ll regret
Wont be easy to forget
Scars take time to heal
Before another bitter word gets used
I was hoping we could call a truce
Cause no body wins
we both lose
Hearts get broken and love gets bruised
When we light that same old fuse again and again
No body wins
slammin doors
we both lost this fight before
And I wont play this game no more
Cause no body wins
Darlin we got too much pride
It dont matter whose wrong or right
Honey love aint black and white
The way I feel bout u
All I want to do is hold u tight
I cant take another angry nite
Nobody wins
We both lose
Hearts get broken and love gets bruised
When we light that same ol' fuse, again and again
Nobody wins
Slammin doors
We both lost this fight before
And I wont play this game no more
Cause nobody wins
I know somethings bout to break if we dont bend
Baby whats it gonna take. . .
Nobody wins
We both lose
Hearts get broken and love gets bruised
When we light that same ol' fuse, again and again
Nobody wins
Slammin doors
We both lost this fight before
And I aint gonna play this game no more
Cause nobody wins
Nobody wins
Nobody wins

yes, it's obviously about lovers, but isn't love what religion is all about? love for your fellow human beings?

Wouldn't One Tin Soldier be more appropraite?
Now the valley cried with anger,
"Mount your horses! Draw your sword!"
And they killed the mountain-people,
So they won their just reward.
Now they stood beside the treasure,
On the mountain, dark and red.
Turned the stone and looked beneath it...
"Peace on Earth" was all it said.
Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
Go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of Heaven,
You can justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing
Come the judgement day,
On the bloody morning after....
One tin soldier rides away.

Depending on what religion you are a part of it may or may not be all about love and loving one another. I don't think that disagreement has to lead to "fighting", but I am alos not willing to compromise the principles that make me who I am. I am not making my God, He is making me. I believe he teaches me to love everyone, but loving doesn't always mean being agreeable or finding consensus. It means doing what is right, and putting others first in concidering what is right in a given situation. It's sacrifice for the good of others.

I hereby make a motion to post this song every night at the beginning of the debates. Alas, most probably don't realize that "nobody wins".. (But thanks for the reminder anyway, Ms. Endora!)
Rock on!

Eh...what about all the non-religious people fighting tonight? Don't you think they could learn something too?

Well that would be true if one side did not think that they win when they blow them selves up just to kill some young kids.
