Most, not all illegal, are from Mexico and other Latin American country's.While there is much poverty in these country for the everyday citizen, theses country's aren't poor.At least Mexico isn't.But the government is corrupt and does noting to make these country's livable for its poor.In fact they encourage their poor to come to the USA by any means and even publish a small book in comic book form on how to do it.They break the laws because its easy, this nation does not enforce our immigration laws or does it punish the people that hire the illegal aliens and undercut American wages The illegal alien will accept wages far below what a legal American will accept .It needs to be stopped. The illegal aliens cost the USA much more than they bring to this nation.Amnesty would only create more illegals as the last amnesty did and is not the answer.Secure our borders and then locate, identity, arrest and begin the systematic deportation of the illegals. The estimated cost of $230 Billion would be saved in less than 5 years thru savings that the nation didn't have to pay for the illegal aliens.
Open borders are an invitation to terrorists to enter as easily as the other illegal aliens. And you can not pick and choose what laws you obey. The laws are to protect this nation and MUST be enforced.
To answer the starving people statement,I sure dont see very many skinny Mexicans here in Arizona. The ones yhat are arrested by the Border Patrol look pretty rolly polly and well fed to me.Im not saying some people dont get enought to eat,but we have that same problem right here in the USA.

Mexico is the country with the most number of illegal immigrants to the US because they just have to cross the border. They can break laws because they have nothing to lose and can just return to their country.

Canadians, they are always sneaking across the border for cheap American cigarettes to avoid Canada's excessive taxes. They can be seen, repeatedly trying to get the vending machines to take their quarters.
The climate in Canada is not warm enough to grow their own tobacco.....

Because their families are starving & they care enough about them to try to help them survive.
It's called a "survival" instinct.
