Need to know where to plan my retirement..

This is based on opinion, not fact since I've yet to find this info via US Census Bureau...
I would say CALIFORNIA
Reason: were so busy trying to keep our heads above water financially, were too busy...lol kidding. No but seriously, here in Cali. there is sooooooo much diversity,as we are such a melting pot, as opposed to say anywhere in the Mid-West Bible Belt Region, people for the most part if they are religious they do there own thing.( Generally speaking.)
Religion here...You can take it or leave it!

Canada? I know it's not the US, but that's closest to a least religious state you're ever going to get. We still have to follow the laws made by fundie conservatives anywhere in this country.

Since eternity comes after retirement I would think you would be more concerned there....
NM is least spiritual I have found...you will find all the spirits you want to ease your retirement. It is truly "Land of Enchantment."
Then on the other hand, home is where you hang your hat.

I wouldn't know a state, but I know of places (huge metropolitan areas)
NYC (I live here, and religion plays almost no role)
San Francisco
Los Angeles
etc. etc.

everyone believes in something, and that defines religion.
Whether Jesus, Allah, self, money etc.
So I guess you go to alaska - the least populated state
