Far too much. Weddings are a rip off.
Back in 2005, CNN stated that the average cost was $26,327.

The average they say is $25,000 but as a wedding planner I have done weddings for $15,000 that were just as nice as the more expensive weddings. It's knowing what you really need and don't need, how simplicity can be elegant, and how too many couples do too much and need to tone it down. Good Luck!

Well my wedding is going to cost me$ 3000 - $4000. I know its alot but it is much cheaper than we had anticipated. I am a very simply person and I don't need alot of thing for me to be pleased. You don't have to have alot of stuff just to get married. Just knowing who you are standing up there is the best part and knowing that its happening. We are saving our money so that we can plan for our future not just one day. But between the dresses, tuxes, limousine, flowers, invitations, programs, food, church, reception hall, accessories, make up, hair, nails, and all the other extra gifts and reception trinkets, it will probably be more than that but we trying to stay right there.

The average is around $25,000. It depends on where you live. New York and L.A. are going to be more than anywhere else. Smaller towns will obviously be a lot less. Food and the venue eat up most of the budget.

It all depends on the number of guests where it is to be held
the church cost the wedding dress # of grooms men and brides maids. If you are thinking average then consider dress, limo, catering, flowers, tuxes, church, pre-marital counselling, rings
honeymoon probably anywheres from 3,000-50,000 dollars
It all comes down to how much will you do or hire someone else to do for you?

probably around 4000 dollars assuming you do a full traditional wedding...tux,gown,invites, church, reception hall,partyfavors,etc...the biggest cost to absorb besides the rental hall for the reception will be if you have an open bar or not...lol the tab for my wedding was 1800 just on drinks...had about 100 people attend

for a nice but not extreme wedding I'm thinking 15,000. Me and my fiance debate over it all the time too....he thinks we can get away with 5,000!!
It just depend on how nice or how big you want the wedding.

The average is about $20K - $25K, but you can do some really nice things on a budget of $10K as well.
