Mom's (mother's sister=Are they half sister or full blooded ?) is 1st generation
Your mom & the son = either full-blooded 1st generation cousins or half-blood 1st generation cousins
So, that means you either marry your mom cousin = You're a 3rd generation marry 2nd generation that still very closely related...dangerous!! To find out the exact probability of your defective offspring: if your grandma & his mom are half sisters, that means your offspring will have 1/16 chance to have a mutation on chromsome 13 or 21 which will lead to hemophila & down syndrome. If your grandma & his mom are full-blooded sisters, your baby will have 1/8 chance of having hemophila or down syndrome. If your grandma & his mom are step-sisters, that's mean your family & his family genetically are not related at all. So this is the only case that your baby will not be genetically linked to mutation at chromosome 13 or 21. Now, the only time that blood-related family members marry each other & WILL NOT have genetically defected offsprings if they are AT LEAST 5th generation distant-related cousins or family members.
I've shared with you of what I've learned in med school. Now, whether if you want to marry him or not is up to you. But my advice to you, if you want your baby to be healthy then the idea of marrying your uncle is the POOR choice.
I hope you will make the right choice.....Good luck!!!!

So the guy is your uncle (mama )huh....
Ya sure you can marry him we are not some moral police here to judge you. If your family does not have any problem than go ahead. Ya there are some complications while conceving when you get married within the close relations.
But you also check the law before you get married cause i think there are degrees of prohibited relationship and in the Part I ... where you are prohibited to marry your uncle.. I suggest you better check with a lawyer before going ahead with the wedding.
Please this site it will be of help to you...

That is your second cousin, and he is old enough to be your uncle it seems, since he sould be about your mother's age! He's your mothers cousin! Doesn't that bother you at all? There would possibly be problems with the baby if you did conceive, because these things usually happen when relatives have a baby together. Conceiving might not be a problem in itself though.

First ask yourself...since he is a relative you must be knowing him from your childhood. If you really feel that he could be an ideal partner for you...and you feel the chemistry or love for him - You can go ahead. In some part of Gujarat and Andhra - they can marry their real Mamas, but here he is your mother's cousin. I dont see any problem.
The thing is - at the end of the show - you should be happy.
All the best.

i've got confidence that makes you 2d cousins. you would be super. one hundred years in the past marriages between first cousins have been person-friendly and few human beings had issues. do not subject bearing directly to the genetic factors. do purely not tell human beings you're 2d cousins because of the fact they are ignorant and that they'll choose you.
