Sounds like you have/had some kind of infection. That takes a lot out of a person. I was on IV "vanc" for three months!

Any infection can make you feel weak and tired, but the medications you have taken can also be the cause of it. Vancomycin, when given intravenous (IV) can build up in the body quickly and make you feel weak. I know the blood levels when taking Vancomycin have to be checked regularly to prevent liver damage. Another thing both Vancomycin and Doxycycline are what some doctor consider broad spectrum antibiotics. Meaning they kill a wide range of bacteria. This also means it kills the normal flora that helps your body at times. (prime example:some women get yeast infections after taking antibiotics) The best thing you can do is follow up with your doctor if you continue to feel this way.

Thats some very strong antibiotics, what kind of infection did you have. This could be a reason why you feel tired. Maybe you need a blood test to see if the infection has affected your blood counts, like haemoglobin to see if you are anemic.
