What can I do to take care of the constant headaches that i get especially on the right side of the head? I have visited my physician severally and always given pain killers. Two days ago a blood test showed i had malaria and being treated for it. The headaches subsided but are back again despite taking pain killers. I've had my eyes re-checked at the optician since i'm short sighted but there is no deterioration in my eyesight. Who can assist me?

Go to a Neurologist. I have suffered from Migraines since I was a child. I am 30 now and finally got myself to go to the right doctor. All doctors ever told me was, see an eye doctor. I had perfect vision except when I had a migriane. Gave me pain killers. I even had cortisone shots in my neck because they said they were tension headaches. This didn't help. See a Neurologist. If they are Migraines it will come up in a MRI. An MRI will show spots in the brain. I am treated with vasodilators. Low dose blood pressure pills. When you get those head aches your blood vessels constrict and make the headache worse. This meds keeps them from consticting and making it worse. I dont have high blood pressure but it sure does help reduce the amount of migraines I get. They will also do an EEG. To check the brain waive activity.

Just get checked by a Neurologist as this can be a sign of many types of migraines.

Hope all checks out ok.

Any headache which is minor to moderate, not accompanied by other signs or symptoms, and responds with home therapies within a couple of hours may well not need to have further assessment or testing, especially if it's occurred in previous times. A anxiety headache shows zero abnormal information using a neurological test. However, soft points in the muscular tissues will often be affecting the neck and shoulder areas. The health care provider need to be consulted, to rule out some other disorders that causes head ache, if the headache is actually major, persistent i.e. is unable to vanish entirely), or if other signs and symptoms exist together with the headache. Severe headaches that will interrupt sleep, show up when active, or which are repeated might require evaluation plus treatment by a health care provider.

Go to a Wholistic Practitioner or Herbalist!
You might try Vervain Tea.. it helps the oxygen flow to the brain. Lack of oxygen to
the brain can cause constant headaches!
Vervain is far more effective than pain killers
cause pain is only the sympton of the problem.
Most headaches are caused by lack of oxygen.
Also lack of vitamins can cause headaches!
The third you know a bump on the noggin of course.. What Else? A cold you might say
but that fits in the 1st category sometimes combines with the lack of nutrients or vitamins.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

Maybe it's time to see another doctor, if the one you're going to hasn't been able to answer the question for you. I'm sorry you're having this problem.
